10/24/2011 - This was my family's first time fishing on the Gulf and what an adventure! The crew, the boat, and of course the fishing was nothing short of awesome! Troy and his first mate Stephen make you feel right at home as if you had been fishing the Gulf for years. They both took the time to explain where we were going, why, and all of the safety information. Captain Troy is clearly knowledgable about the area, and it showed as he expertly guided us to an area where the fish were biting. Are you guaranteed to catch fish every time, no, but on October 20th, we were lucky enough to catch a bunch. Even though it was a chartered boat, you really feel like you are on your own boat, and the crew was more than accomodating. I am completely blind and I was suprised to see Troy and Stephen take the extra time to explain things to me in greater detail, right down to the boats and scenery we were passing. It was truly an amazing experience and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in fishing the Gulf. It is not often when you book a trip where you feel so involved with the crew. In Troy and Steven's case, they made us feel like members of the family that had been fishing with them for years. What an unforgetable experience, and if we are in Lower Alabama again, we will be looking them up. Ryan - Arkansas

7/20/2011 - Hey Troy - We fished with you last year and had the time of our lives. We did not know we were coming to Orange Beach until the last minute. We waited too late this year to book with you and I chose another charter boat because they said they were "family friendly" too! It only took a few minutes into the trip before I realized I made a huge mistake. The crew was polite, but definitely not at all "family friendly" like they advertised. I thought all charter boats in Orange Beach were the same. I was wrong. After fishing with you, I thought everyone did things the same way you did. 6/25/2011 - Captain Troy, We can't thank you enough for your kindness and professionalism on this week's fishing trip with my family. Everything you told us about what to expect before booking with you was right on. We appreciate you making the extra effort and allowing us to relax and enjoy our trip with our kids. Letting the kids come upstairs and drive the boat was the highlight of the entire trip. Next time we come, I hope I can get a picture of that big shark that Jim fought for close to 30 minutes. The entire experience was well worth it. We went to Shipp's Harbor Grill and had them prepare the Red Snappers like you said. They did an excellent job and they were delicious. 2/27/2011 - Distraction Charters Captain Troy, I would like to say thanks for your help in putting us in touch with Captain Keith of Alabama Inshore Fishing. We wanted to fish with you but do understand about the weather. Rough seas and high wind can make for miserable fishing trip. We took your advice and went with Keith inshore fishing for Speckled Trout. He did a great job and we caught a lot of fish. The light tackle that he uses is similar to what we use in Montana. November 21, 2009 - Captain Keith, I just want to drop you this email and thank you for the enjoyable fishing trip that we took with you. Booking the trip was very smooth. I have to say that when I met you I was a bit sceptical when you came up wearing those Top Gun sunglasses. We found out that you were a man of your word and keep your bets even though nobody would have known. This was our first Orange Beach inshore fishing experience. It was just that . An enjoyable fishing charter experience. From the time we hit the inshore fishing area we were busy catching fish. I was impressed with how you handled our party from beginning to end. Six people fishing in a smaller area is difficult but you controlled the situation and kept things flowing smoothly.

October 31, 2009 - We should have listened to you last weekend. You told us the weather was too rough to go offshore fishing and we did not listen to you. After we got off the phone with you, we chartered another boat that took us out deep sea fishing. The crew was nice, but the fishing was horrible and the seas were unbearable. We were very dissatisfied with our experience and the fishing. We are coming back next June and we will not go with anyone but you from now own. September 19, 2009 -We wanted to tell you thanks for a great day fishing. The experience of being on the water fishing with you today was a lot of fun. Charlie told me to tell you that he would read the directions on that Dramamine next time. He finally got his sea legs back and is telling everyone how he caught the big one. August 15, 2009 - Please give our kindest regards to Captain Keith for a job well done. We had a good time fishing for Speckled Trout with him. Even though we could have limited out, we chose to only keep a few for dinner. The Redfish offered a surprising fight for us trout fishermen. We will always remember the Dolphins swimming beside the boat and being able to see them up close. Everyone here at home can't believe we caught so many fish and got to see wonderful sights. Captain Troy was as gentle and knowledgeble as any guide we have ever fished with. His deckhand, Lem is one cool guy. My husband had a great time talking duck hunting and fishing.
